The Election Night Show 2018

Last week Let’s Fix This hosted our first election watch party / results coverage event, which we affectionately dubbed The Election Night Show. Scott Melson and I co-hosted the event, which was basically The Tonight Show stretched out for four hours and featuring guests & musical acts from Oklahoma. We even had a house band, a stand-up comedian, and a Top 10 list read by State Superintendent for Public Instruction, Joy Hofmeister.

The event was a tremendous success. Attendance was just north of 700 people, which is about twice what we expected and posed an issue we had not anticipated: crowd noise. With that many people, it made it somewhat difficult to hear inside the theater. (We’re already brainstorming how to remedy this for next time.)
